We are thrilled to announce that the complete recordings of the RenMus project concerts are now available on our YouTube channel<\/a>. These performances, held across Central Europe in 2024, featured the world premieres of innovative compositions intertwining music and ecological themes.<\/strong> Whether you missed the live performances or want to relive these unforgettable moments, you can now enjoy them anytime, anywhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concerts took place in Prague<\/strong> (15th July, St. Catherine\u2019s Garden), Warsaw<\/strong> (20th July, Royal Castle Courtyard), Budapest<\/strong> (2nd August, The House of Music), and Bratislava<\/strong> (17th August, Nivy Station\u2019s Green Roof), performed by Hashtag Ensemble<\/strong>, Berg Orchestra<\/strong>, UMZE Ensemble<\/strong>, and EnsembleSpectrum<\/strong>, under the direction of Vincent Kozlovsky, Peter Vr\u00e1bel, Gergely Vajda, and Matej Sloboda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the featured premieres, Katarzyna Krzewi\u0144ska\u2019s <\/strong>green&blue | dreamin\u2019<\/strong> <\/em>blends field recordings of nature and cityscapes with an interactive sound installation, exploring our complex relationship with urban life and the natural world. M\u00e1t\u00e9 Balogh\u2019s <\/strong>Thoreau Second Hand. In memoriam Alvin Lucier<\/strong> <\/em>reinterprets a passage from Walden<\/em>, layering narrated text with wind instruments and recycled percussion (beer bottles, tin cans, and wood) to create an evolving, “worn-out” musical texture. Ian Mikyska\u2019s <\/strong>Forest\/Trees<\/strong> <\/em>uses field recordings from Pet\u0159\u00edn Hill in Prague alongside live instruments and electronic sounds, creating a soundscape that merges natural and artificial environments over a structured timeline. Samuel Hvozd\u00edk\u2019s Stigma<\/em><\/strong> for seven instruments and electronics reflects on the passage of time and the irreversibility of history, building on layered and shifting sonic structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each concert was a unique celebration of contemporary music, bringing together talented composers and ensembles to address pressing ecological issues through art.
